Review of Coal by Chelsea Cameron and Jessie Lane

Coal (Regulators MC, #3)Coal by Chelsea Camaron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was give this as an ARC and these are my thoughts on what I read...

I had to laugh at the character Paisley (aka Pixie)- she's different, airy and unique. Although most people don't get that type of quirky person, I have to say that I honestly loved her.

As for Coal- he's dark he has his regrets in life.
Together they are amazing!

Review of Dancing with a Cowboy by Sandi K Whipple

Dancing With A CowboyDancing With A Cowboy by Sandi K. Whipple
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was given this book by the author and these are my thoughts on it...

People tend to forget that receiving a 3 as a rating is middle of the road, it's still a good rating and should be thought of as such.

I could not connect with the characters. The first few pages did not grab me, but I pushed on. But the more I pushed on the more that I knew that I was not reading the book and enjoying it. In the end, I just had to face the hard facts that this was not the book for me. That being said, please do lot let ti detour you, many others will no doubt find it a pleasurable escape. As I said, it just wasn't the book for me.

Review of True Honor by Jax Hunter

True Honor (True Heroes Military Romance #3)True Honor by Jax Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

True Honor
By Jax Hunter
5 stars
I received this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
How far will you go to keep a promise to a friend? To keep a secret for a friend? What happens when you fall in love when your world is quickly fall apart? Is there anyone you can trust? Trust with your life? How well do you truly know your best friend? Your co-workers? Your spouse?
This is the kind of book that keeps you thinking about those kinds of things and makes you wonder "how well do we truly know anyone?"
We also get to meet up with cast members from her previous books.
Author Jax Hunter has written a book that has not only piqued my interest, it's held it throughout the entire book. The mystery of who killed Chris "Angel" Gabriel's friend and the plot twists and turns in the book will test your whodunnit skills! Ms Hunter has a knack for writing military romance that has action, adventure and mystery all rolled into one! The heart wants what it wants and Ms Hunter delivers it in. Way that breaks it and puts it back together again.

Review of Tempted by a Marine by Kerry Conner

Tempted by a MarineTempted by a Marine by Kerry Connor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When they first meet sparks flew. But once our hero (Mike Keller) found out that the woman of his dreams (Erin), the everything that he's ever wanted was his deceased buddies sister he ground to a dead stop.
He's take care of her, that was the least he could do for her.
This is a story about a woman wanting a man to "see her", to see her as a desirable woman. To want to "be with her", because he wanted to, not because he felt obligated to help her. It's also a man who has survivors guilt over the death of his friend but at the same time he meets the woman of his dreams.

It was beautifully written and full of emotion. The sex scenes were hot and passionate.
Will I read more by this author? You can bet on it!

Review of Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker

Rescuing Rayne (Delta Force Heroes, #1)Rescuing Rayne by Susan Stoker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this book as an ARC from the author.
I give this book 5 Stars

We meet Ghost and Rayne at the London Heathrow airport. Their flight has been cancelled and they spend the day together. Little did they know that they were getting to know one another in ways that would effect them for quite some time. Ghost only allowed himself to have the occasional "one night" with a woman, he never spent the entire night and would slip out when she was sleeping to never be seen again. Rayne is a flight attendant, for the most part she's happy with her life. She has a fresh and optimistic outlook on life. Ghost is hard and and a bit on the cynical side, he has to be- his life and the life of his teammates depends upon it!
Their one day and night together proves to have changed something inside of both of them. It's not until they meet up again under the most horrific of circumstances that things change for them. It's when Ghost realizes it's his heart that she has from the moment... Go read the book to find out what I'm not telling you!

Susan Stoker is one of my go to authors that I read everything that she publishes. The start of this new series has gotten off to a fantastic start. It's hard pounding drama and there were party's that made me laugh, cry and I even actually wept in parts of this book. I felt for both Rayne and Ghost as they worked through many issues in their relationship. The situations that Ms. Stokes portrayed in her novel could actually happen in real life. I've been to Egypt and witnessed first hand some of the beauty, wealth and rich history of the country. I've also seen the devastation and the depravity of a country that has civil unrest.
Would I recommend this to my friends? Oh yes, in a heart beat!

Review of Hard Corps by Scott Hildreth

5 stars
Hard Corps is a breath taking novel about a man named Alec Jacob. The kind of man that is honest and true to the very core of his being.  In this book we learn about his past, the life he had before he was a member of the Selected Sinners Motorcycle Club.

We learn of his Military Service, his sense of duty and dedication to his men. We learn a lot about Alec, and there are several parts of this book that made me catch my breath or down right had tears streaming down my cheeks.

Scott Hildreth writes a in such a manner that connects his readers to his characters that feel downright real at times. There is an emotional connection that happens when reading parts of the story, ones that some of us can connect to.

I'm not going to give you any more details into this book as I want you to discover the parts of this book that made me gasp and made me cry and there are others that will have you trying laughing. The ending was another part that had me in tears, but they were happy tears.

Read this book and share it with your friends. Mr. Hildreth certainly knows how to write beautifully book about a man who was looking for one special person that loves him and accepts him just the way he is. You all really want to read this book! It's packed full of the emotional kind of stuff that I look for in a novel. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would!

Even though it's not a military romance, my friends who enjoy those kinds of books will appreciate the attention to detail of A-Trains back story.
I for one will be reading everything written by  SD Hildreth!

Review of Protecting the Future by Susan Stoker

I received this Author Copy of Protecting the Future in exchange for an honest review.

As the last installment in the "SEAL of Protection" series, Ms. Stokes continues to keep her readers on the edge of their seats with the drama and story line that grabs you from the first page and never lets you go!

It safe years into the future from the last book and we get a glimpse into the lives of each of the team members along with their wives children.

The military drama that is portrayed in this book is so true to life. Your throat will grow tight and tears will roll down your cheeks before you finish this book! Get a box of tissues (I recommend the 3 ply kind), a cup of tea and snuggle yourself in a quilt in a quite spot to read. Be prepared to call for take out, because you're not going to want to put this book down! This is a series that will grab your heart never let you go!

Review of Loving Lily by JM Madden

Loving Lilly (Lost and Found, #4.5)Loving Lilly by J.M. Madden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

JM Madden is at the top of my list of Must Read authors of Military Romance.

The story of Diego and Lily starts with Grif and Kendall's book "Her Forever Hero". Their story picks up during his recovery from the gruesome car accident that nearly took his life. She visits him while he's in the hospital recovering from his injuries. Their friendship in tenuous at best, he's a bit leery of what her intentions are to him. Is she there to ridicule or make fun of him? Lily is so much more than what Diego sees on the surface. He soon realizes that he not only enjoys her attention he needs it to breathe. He also begins to wonder if he can be the kind of man that Lily needs.

Lily is a former model turned clothing designer. The more that Lily are thrown together, the more they get to want to know more about the other. Even with all of Diego's issues due to his injuries and his PTSD, Lily finds him intriguing. She's sees the real man underneath of the eyepatch and the gruff exterior.

Soon Lily's having problems of her own. Will Diego show her that he's the man she needs to protect her?

Review of True Courage by Jax Hunter

True Courage (True Heroes Military Romance #2)True Courage by Jax Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this Author Copy of "True Courage" in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 in the USAF Pararescue " TRUE HERO'S" series is every bit of an emotional roller coaster ride that you got in book 1, maybe even more so. I'll be honest I got weepy in more than one part of this book.

There are two stories in this book, each will leave you asking yourself what are you willing to do for the one you love. Is there a limit of how much heartache you can silently endure?

Karen and Daniel and their love story will grip you and stay with you for a long time. Have tissues ready (get the 3ply tissues), because their love is the kind we all hope to have. But their story is secondary to our main characters Lily and Rick. I have a lump in my throat just writing about these two characters.

Julie Atherton is an amazing lead in this book, her character is well written and you get this sense that she's taken a lot of care to have her act together. Too bad her love life is non-existent. She's a well respected massage therapist who owns her own business and has employees who think very highly of her. She volunteers her time to the SAR- that's where she meets Rick for the first time.

Lt. Colonel Rick McIntyre- he's a powerful presence. He's crashed his Blackhawk and is dying on the side of a mountain. If he doesn't freeze to death, he's sure to die from the injuries he's sustained in the crash. His only life line is Lily, the voice that keeps him clinging to the hope that his team will get to him and the others in time. They talk during the long wait and get to know one another - maybe even falling a little bit in love. But love isn't easy when they have obstacles to overcome.

From the very first pages, this story will draw you in for heart pounding rescue drama! Jax Hunter is an author to put in your Must Read List! I'm not going to give any more of is book away as I want you to read it and discover the plot twists and turns for yourself!

Note- as in her first book, there aren't any sex scenes but plenty of sexual tension between our main characters.

Review for True Valor by Jax Hunter

True Valor (True Heroes Military Romance #1)True Valor by Jax Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received an author copy of the book True Valor for an honest review.

This book grabbed me right from the first page with its subject matter.
It's true whodunnit murder mystery that has quite a few twists and turns. This is a first time for me reading anything written by Jax Hunter and I can honestly tell you that it won't be my last! This is a new series about PJ's and what they go they on a rescue and in their private lives.

Nic D'Onofrio call sign "Batman" and Julie (our amnesiac heroine whose family had been murdered )have chemistry. Ms. Hunter can write a book that is filled with emotional angst and trust issues for both of our main characters. Although there is no sex in this book, there is sexual tension between out two main leads and trust me, it's going to get your attention. There parts of this book that will leave you trying to read faster, pages that will leave you with tears will be streaming down your face. I'm not going to give away any more details-buy it and read it, you're not going to be disappointed!

I'm giving this book 5 stars, YES it's just that good!

Review for Biker Blues by Dale Mayer

I've read the 3 part book and overall I really liked it! I even told my husband that he'd really like the suspense and drama that played out in the book and kept you guessing up until the end. I really think that my best friend would like it too! Anyone that's into a lot of mystery, twists and turns and some hot sexy action that isn't over done- well this is the book for you! I highly recommend this book!
But it! Read It! Review it! Tell your friends about it!
This is from my reviews on Goodreads. Part 1 is available on Amazon, parts 2 & 3 will be available soon!
Part1
5 stars
I received this book as am ARC for a fair and honest review

This is my first book by author Dale Mayer and I have to say that I am impressed! This story started with a BANG and it kept that tempo! There's a lot of past history (both good and bad) with our main characters Morgan and Jazz. Heartbreak on both of their parts, add in a manipulative half brother named Billy and you've got the makings of a great book. The story spins around a tattoo that may or may not have been done by Jazz (she's a tattoo artist). This story is full of mystery and intrigue. I quite literally read this book from start to finish taking only 1 break. There is some steamy love making and it ends on a cliff hanger. I'm looking forward to reading the next part of this story!

I don't want to say more because that would give away the suspense!

Part 2

5stars

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Holy Crap! I'm hooked! I've never read Dale Mayer before this, but I will now!

More danger and intrigue and it leaves you guessing at every turn! Just when you thought that Morgan and Jazz were getting closer to solving the murder mystery, more stuff happened to make you wonder who is behind all of the fact stuff that's been happening to them!

On a different note- this series could use better editing.

Part 3

4stars

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

The twists and turns of this book were everywhere. You were kept on the edge of your seat not knowing what was going to happen next.

The book ended abruptly but it also gave me the feeling that part 3 is not the end. I'm still unsure at this point. I know that this is a 3 part book but it let leaves our couple with a HFN and not a HEA.

Review for Mosquito Chase by Jaycee Ford

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review

5 stars
Story told in both points of view
I want to state that I finished this book at 4 am today and I have a serious book hangover thanks to Jaycee Ford! I'm glad that Angela Butler got her HEA and that it was with Caleb Harris makes it that much sweeter! Jaycee writes each character with such depth that you feel as if you're right there in the story. You feel their sadness, they're joy and their confusion as they try to make sense of their feelings for one another and the situation at hand.

I've read all of the other stories in the Love Bug series and I've enjoyed every one of them.

This story starts out hard and fast, you're immediately thrown into the story. Your heart aches at all of the sadness in Angela's past and for what she is currently going through. Caleb is a complex creature, he tries to wash away his heartache and pain of betrayal of his ex and his best friend through engaging in meaningless sex. But when Angela Butler comes knocking on his front door in need of his help, he can't turn her way. They start out not liking one another, gradually they comes to terms and it's when Angie has a break down that Caleb realizes that his heart is in danger from this helpless creature.
Angela is my hero in so many ways. She comes back from such pain and heartache and faces/confronts her fears and she does it more than once! She has guts and she tells it like it is. Rumors about her past are cleared up and the real truth come to be known. She's not the person that others have made her out to be.
Read this story and you'll see why this one is my favorite book in the Love Bug series. I don't want to go into details as I ant you to discover th story line yourself. Just be prepared for heart pumping drama and action and one heck of a Book Hangover!
