I value my time, as both a reader and a book blogger. Over the past year I've read a great number of books- most of which I've posted reviews for and maybe more than 100 in which I did not. Why not? Because I refuse to give credit to shoddy writing. I refuse to continue to read books written by authors who obviously hate women. Book after book of female lead characters that are written as brainless doormats, or nothing more sex-bots there to service their men, seriously, I want more than the hero of the book to come home and do nothing but shag his love interest 50 different ways until Sunday. I want a story! A real honest to goodness story, one that makes the sex meaning full and not there to fill a space or word count requirement. Authors who are going on the old adage that "Sex Sells" no longer make MY List. Do I like sex in a story? Yes, but quality writing of a story doesn't depend upon it. It doesn't matter to me if you're a USA Today or NYT Best Seller or a Brand New Indie Author- you either write a story that grabs me by the socks with your story or I'm done! That's the honest truth, I expect quality writing as should we all.

In MY book, Author Lili Valente's name is synonymous with hot and flirty sexy and snarky fun reads! Her books can have me laughing my socks off one minute and squeezing my heart the next. She has a unique style of writing that's entertaining and delightful- I will never ever tire of her writing style- EVER.

Hot As Puck is a Hockey Romance with a studly hockey player who jumps at the opportunity to show his pretty childhood friend the ropes as they pertain to sex. The chemistry between Justin and Libby is undeniable...that is once he really sees her.

I want you to read the book- it's such a fun and funny romantic comedy!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my opinion of what I have read.

With One More Look At You by Mary J. Williams

I'm honestly floored with the attention to details in this book. From the first few sentences I was hooked. It was 4 hours before I came up for air and I still wasn't finished reading this book. Mary J Williams is a master story teller, revealing each segment like a blossoming peony, opening fulling showing each and every petal.Each and every character was fleshed out and the background was well thought and written. Ms Williams took me on an emotional journey, one where I laughed at times and other when I had tears silently running down my cheeks. Many parts in this book had me choked up, especially the pain that Sophie was hiding from everyone. The amount of detail that Ms. Williams put into describing the land, the people and most of all the growing feelings that Sophie and Forbes had for one another. Even the secondary characters are well written and thoroughly developed.
The mystery and intrigue in this story is enough to get your pulse racing. If you want to read something that will have you up until the wee hours of the morning, let this be your book! It's too bad that this book can receive a 5 star rating as it deserves so much more. I may have received this as an ARC, but I enjoyed it so much that I bought the book! I also have plans of having it on my shelves in paperback!
