Review of The Complete Love Bug Series by Jaycee Ford

The Complete Love Bug SeriesThe Complete Love Bug Series by Jaycee Ford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Watching Fireflies-
I stumbled across this book on Amazon and fell in love with the writing style that the author put on these characters, the two points of view was interesting and refreshing.

Jordan Hawthorne was escaping an abusive relationship and starting over in a new town. Tom McCloud is a good ole boy and does right by his family. When Tom is sent to do repair a sink in a guests bathroom at his aunts request, he never thought that he'd seen a more lovely sight than Jordan asleep in the bathtub. It was in that moment that his heart had found it's home.

Now it's time for him to convince Jordan that he's nothing like her ex. There is some true heart pounding action in this book, cowboys that are not afraid to let their tears of grief and sadness not be seen and a whole lot of love throughout these pages!

Dragonfly Awakening-
The Love Bug series is one told from different points of view. This is the story of Ellie and Paul. We learn what really happened with Lance and Ellie and why Lance broke up with Ellie. We fast forward 10 years and a cold winters night Ellie is back in town and she meets up with Paul, they have deep rooted feelings for one another. One thing leads to another and Ellie decides to take a chance and moves back to her old hometown to be near Paul and to start her business. Ellie is a successful fashion designer and she buys a store and starts a boutique. But the secrets are eating at Ellie, she wonders why Paul isn't wanting to take the relationship public. The one thing holding Paul back to making their relationship public is His best friend Lance, Ellie's ex. Ellie can't take the secrets and sneaking around and through miscommunication and hurt feelings our lovers lose their way for a bit. I laughed, I cried and my heart skipped a beat! Read this second installment of the Love Bug series, you'll be glad that you did!

Hornets Nest-

Never has a friend been warned of the one guy you should never get involved with- that's what Katherine is dealing with. Lance with his mesmerizing green eyes and his charm the pants off of you smile has found "the one" with Katherine, but she's been forewarned about his bad boy ways and keeps him at arms length.
They share a moment and a passionate kiss after her friend Jordan has made it through her ordeal and Katherine high tails it back to the city and stays a safe distance from Lance. It's not until the wedding of her best friend several months later does Katherine venture back into Lance's view. With her realization that her friends are all married and she's not, Katherine throws herself a little pity party. Lance sees her and rescues her from herself. They share a wonderful passionate filled night and in the morning he leaves, but not without asking her not to go. Over a yer later they are ruined until different circumstances. Has too much time passed for the one time lovers to reunite? There are deep secrets and broken hearts to over come. But Lance is determined to get his girl and he is going to try his hardest to win back her heart!

I loved Lance and his determination. We all need a guy like Lance to love us the way he loves Katherine.

Mosquito Chase-

Story told in both points of view
I want to state that I finished this book at 4 am today and I have a serious book hangover thanks to Jaycee Ford! I'm glad that Angela Butler got her HEA and that it was with Caleb Harris makes it that much sweeter! Jaycee writes each character with such depth that you feel as if you're right there in the story. You feel their sadness, they're joy and their confusion as they try to make sense of their feelings for one another and the situation at hand.

I've read all of the other stories in the Love Bug series and I've enjoyed every one of them.

This story starts out hard and fast, you're immediately thrown into the story. Your heart aches at all of the sadness in Angela's past and for what she is currently going through. Caleb is a complex creature, he tries to wash away his heartache and pain of betrayal of his ex and his best friend through engaging in meaningless sex. But when Angela Butler comes knocking on his front door in need of his help, he can't turn her way. They start out not liking one another, gradually they comes to terms and it's when Angie has a break down that Caleb realizes that his heart is in danger from this helpless creature.
Angela is my hero in so many ways. She comes back from such pain and heartache and faces/confronts her fears and she does it more than once! She has guts and she tells it like it is. Rumors about her past are cleared up and the real truth come to be known. She's not the person that others have made her out to be.
Read this story and you'll see why this one is my favorite book in the Love Bug series. I don't want to go into details as I ant you to discover the story line yourself. Just be prepared for heart pumping drama and action and one heck of a Book Hangover!
