Review of The Santini's Collection Volume 2

The Santinis Collection, Volume Two (Santini Bundles, #2)The Santinis Collection, Volume Two by Melissa Schroeder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***I received this box set from through instaFreebie in exchange for an honest review.***

This is volume 2 which is comprised of books 4, 5, and 6- all of which I own individually.

As the stories with the Santini family continues, they also leave an impression upon you as a reader. They can easily be neighbors or friends. All of these stories are rich and vibrant in character and plot development, and they leave you looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

To be able to pick them up as a bundle is a big plus for those readers who are looking for picking up a terrific bargain.

Review of American Bad Boy by Eddie Cleveland

American Bad Boy: A Military RomanceAmerican Bad Boy: A Military Romance by Eddie Cleveland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let's talk about must read stories!

I'm rereading a book by a new author -Romance Author Eddie Cleveland

Wow! This book made me an emotional train wreck...and I loved every damn moment of it! I had to put the book down and walk away from it because I cried so hard in parts. Again I love it when a book gets me so emotionally invested in its characters. I can hardly believe that is his 1st book!
This is a book about first love, a military career ending in its prime, second chances and so much more. Tackling tough topics such as PTSD, being blown up and losing a leg and finding out that you have a child with your first love- all done is such a wonderful manner.

Read this book, tell your friends about it too! This might be my first book by Eddie Cleveland but it certainly won't be my last!
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review of Laying Down the Law by Becky McGraw

Laying Down The Law (Cowboy Way, #4)Laying Down The Law by Becky McGraw
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

3.5 stars

I'll be completely honest, I thought that the book was missing some important key elements.I felt zero connection to any of the characters and the 4 four chapters of the book almost made me quit reading several times. It didn't feel (to me) to be the same quality of work that Ms. McGraw usually gives to her readers, it felt rushed and the characters were all around unlikable. It was missing the emotional content that I find appealing in other books that I read.
Do not let my review deter you from reading. This is only my opinion, others have found it enjoyable.

Review of "Saved by a Soldier" by Alison Mello

5 stars
Ms. Mello's book deals with some very tough topics- a military veteran trying to reintegrate into civilian life while dealing with PTSD and domestic abuse. The way Ms. Mello dealt with such sensitive topics was superb.
Patty and Carter are dynamic and well well written. I'm eager to read the next book in the series.

Review of "Chasing Taryn" by AC Wilson

5 Stars
I received this book as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I don't normally read Young Adult romance, but when it comes to certain authors I'm all in!

The Story of Levi and Taryn is an off branch of author AC Wilson's Black Hill series. It's rich in detail of the surroundings and of the well developed characters of her series.

This story is of First Love, Best Friend and Family. It's about who is there for you when you feel as if your whole world is crumbling around you and your heart is breaking into a million little pieces.  I'll be honest, I cried more than once while reading this book. The emotional content and connection to the characters that I look for in a book is in this book in spades! I'm truly looking forward to the 3rd book in this series to see how things turn out for Levi and for Taryn.
